Snakes on a shoot

I love my behind the scenes shots! Take a look at the going-ons at my latest styling gig. The shoot featured the stunning Keira-Jane Ephraims of Scene models and her slippery serpent friend, Hobbes the Stimpson python. Also on the scene at Mira Studios was the very talented photographer Carlo Fernandes and hair and makeup whiz kids Julia Pitman and Lisa Mullen.
Clothing was provided by Rock a Frock - perth based online boutique, and as of Tuesday, a flagship store in Wembley!

Wooszoo Star Wars

Oh I do love it when I stumble upon such wonderfully geeky products of a magnificently creative soul. Check out John Woo's (not the Face off director, as he is careful to point out on his Etsy store) fashionably forward salute to our favourite intergalactic characters. I have to say, these new ensembles are quite the step up from the mono-tone, head to toe PVC.

Spare time strangeness

Rather bored and restless the other night, I entertained myself by ballet dancing enthusiastically around the house while singing opera. Now, I have been taking ballet classes so I can confirm that the dance moves I was attempting were legitimate, but the same cannot be said for the opera as I know nothing about this music. Safe to assume then that I was just throwing myself down the corridor while wailing at the top of my lungs. After a short burst of this even I was weirded out so I decided to settled down and draw a picture instead. This picture illustrates that it's really hard to pirouette in a high waisted acid wash skirt.

How they really make ugg boots

This post reminds me of a song we used to sing in my home town - yup us small town country folk apparently do sit around entertaining ourselves by singing songs.

I wear ugg boots
on my head
they keep me warm
cause the sheep are dead

(theres another verse but i forget)

Two fine ladies

I have been busting my buns lately updating my online store. Granted, I am happy with my progress, yet I cannot help but feel guilty as my poor poor blog suffers. Sadly there are just too many projects in my life at the moment and my blog, like the quiet proverbial middle child, just doesn't see any attention from its manic and mightily flustered mother.
In an attempt to placate the forgotten offspring, I am sharing this picture two lovely fellow bloggers posted after visiting me at my UWA market stall. I share it for two reasons; 1 - its a stunning ring and it deserves to be flashed about, and 2 - you get to see my all time favourite Etsy purchase, my well wicked octopus stamp. Check out the Le.Fanciulle blog for some gorgeous snaps of their latest shopping conquests.
